• Sindhi horse is a breed of horse native to Sindh, Kutch and Gujarat.

• According to Mahabharata, Sindhi horse is one of the best breeds of horses.

• Sindhi horse performs with great speed and stamina in covering long distances.

• The Sindhi-Kachi horse has been recognized by the Government of India.

• Kachchhi-Sindhi horse breed  in India has now been recognized. This breed was registered on 4 August by the Breeding Registration Committee of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

• It was registered by scientists of National Animal Genetical Resources Bureau (NBAGR)

• Sindhi horse: 56 to 60 inches in height

• Roman nose facial appearance

• Ears curved at the tips but not touching each other

• The Sindhi horse takes itself down in dry and semi-arid climates. It also has the ability to tolerate heat.

• It can maintain the same speed while running at a speed of 43 kmph and provides a smooth ride without disturbing the rider.
