Feeding of pabda Fish

• They are omnivorous.

• They generally eat protozoa, aquatic insects, crustasia, moss etc.

• Feed containing 40% rice bran, 30% mastered cake and 30% fishmeal before their breeding period.

Breeding

• Breeding period are in Between May to July.
• During this period the female lays eggs. These fish usually grow rapidly.
• Hatching will be done in 18-20 hour
• The yolk sack gets absorbed in 3 days
• Larvae start feeding on 4th day of hatching
