Proud to share my organic dairy farm setup that I've built over the last 3 years! 🏆
Farm Details:
- Location: Near Udaipur, Rajasthan
- Total cows: 18 (12 Gir, 6 Sahiwal)
- Land: 5 acres (3 for fodder, 2 for farm)
- Certified organic since 2023
Key Features of My Setup:
- Zero Budget Natural Farming: I make all inputs on farm — Jeevamrut, Beejamrut, Neemastra, Brahmastra. Zero chemical fertilizers or pesticides on fodder.
- Bio-Gas Plant: 4 cubic meter biogas plant. All cow dung goes here. Produces enough gas for cooking for 3 families + my farm kitchen. Slurry goes back to fields.
- Solar Powered: 5 KW solar panels. Runs water pump, milk chiller, and lights. Electricity bill: ₹0!
- Rainwater Harvesting: 2 ponds (50x50 feet each). Collect all rainwater. Enough water for cows even in summer.
- Vermicompost Unit: 10 beds. Produces 2 tons of vermicompost every 3 months. I sell excess at ₹10/kg.
Economics:
- Milk production: 200 liters/day
- Organic milk selling price: ₹80/liter (vs ₹50 for regular)
- Monthly revenue: ₹4.8 lakhs
- Monthly expenses: ₹1.2 lakhs
- Net profit: ₹3.6 lakhs/month
